The Feminist Kitchen is an artistic platform uniting art and activism practices, sociocultural research and theories. From the perspective of the third surge of feminism we analyze and reflect the logic of public relations containing manifestations of such qualities ascribed to masculinity as aggression, leadership, verticality, etc. In the gendered discourse the kitchen is a symbol of women’s oppression. It is also a certain symbolic freedom space of the Soviet time dissident protest. Kitchen talk about politics is an image and reality of the Soviet totalitarianism in which there formed a language of opposition. Acting in the social and political space we bring in the intimacy of the kitchen talk and thus change the logic of political dialogue by adding the voice of the excluded to it.
